Men are far more interested in casual sex than women. And while men must be exceptionally attractive if women are going to bother to have casual sex with them, men are not that selective which women they have casual sex with. There is a big difference between men and women, showing recent research. This is the ugly truth about casual sex.
Men report much more than women that they have casual sex, and they also have a bigger desire than women to have it. And it is not as important how attractive the sex partner is, according to the study conducted at the Department of Psychology at Brunel University in the UK..
427 male and 433 female students from the United States, Germany and Italy received a number of questions from the researchers. They were asked, among other things, to imagine that they were taken on by one of the other sexes. The person was described as either rather unattractive, quite attractive or exceptionally attractive.
The students had to answer how likely it was that they wanted to:
a) Go out with him
b) Go home with the person
c) Have sex with the person
And it was here that the difference between men and women became clear.

Men are more willing
Men in general were far more willing to go out with the woman, bring her home and have sex with her. This was true regardless of how attractive the woman was.
German men were less willing than American and Italian men to go out with the woman and bring her home.
Italian men were more willing to have sex with the woman than the American men were, while the Germans were least willing to have sex.
There was a greater likelihood that the men would have sex with the woman if she was attractive, but if she was quite attractive or exceptionally attractive did not matter.

Women must have a handsome man
For the women in the survey it was far more important that the man was appealing. They were far more believers in thanking you for the offer to go home if the man was exceptionally attractive, than if he was quite or very attractive.
The researchers conclude that it is not so important for men how the woman looks as long as the possibility of sex is present. If women want casual sex, the man must be handsome.

Why casual sex is a bad idea
Sleeping with a new person for the first time is awkward and a little bit weird. They don’t know what you like, and you don’t know what they like. You might have ideas of dates and dinners with this person, but be realistic here. You just had casual sex, don’t expect anything else from it. It can feel particularly painful if you hook up with somebody and then they never speak to you again.
People, especially of the female variety, tend to be judged for having casual no-strings-attached sex. It’s not really fair considering men get a pat on the back for sowing their wild oats, but it is true. If you want to keep your name untarnished, then sleeping with lots of people casually may not be the way forward.
It turns out that jumping in a bed with a number of casual partners can give you more than just sexually transmitted diseases. For example, it may cause you to be depressed. Young people who have casual sex are more likely to suffer from depression, according to a new study. Experts have found higher levels of general anxiety, social anxiety and depression among students who recently had sex with someone they knew for less than a week.
